杜舫牧師 Rev. Frederick To <frederick@mgc.ca>

Rev. Frederick To received Christ in Hong Kong when he was in university. After graduation, he worked in I.T. industry for a few years before immigrated to Canada. He has a passion for equipping God’s people through teaching to build the body of Christ (Eph 4:11-12). He graduated from Tyndale University, College and Seminary with an MDiv in Christian Education and a ThM in Biblical Studies. God called him into full-time ministry in 2016. He has served at Toronto Chinese Baptist Church and volunteer pastor at Logos Baptist Church (York Region) before joining MGC. He is currently studying in a Doctor of Educational Ministry program in The International School of Christian Education.

Rev. Frederick has been married for about 30 years and has two adult daughters. His wife, Freda, is also a pastor serving at Logos Baptist Church (York Region).

In the same year when I confessed my sins, repent and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal lord and saviour, God had planted in my heart a desire to spread the Gospel to my kinsmen and to all corners of the earth wherever there are people of Chinese culture and heritage. Thereafter, I responded to God’s calling and dedicated my life to serving Him, until now. I studied at the Tyndale University College & Seminary, majoring in pastoral studies, and graduated with a Master in Divinity in May 2005. My internship years were in Cornerstone Chinese Alliance Church and Bridle Trail Baptist Church; serving in the Mandarin congregation. I started serving at this church in May 2006, leading the Mandarin Congregation, serving together with my wife Joanne. God has blessed us with a daughter, Jia. She is a nurse and got married with Jermaine Ong in August 2017 at this church.

李赫鎮牧師 Rev. Paul Lee <paul@mgc.ca>
Rev. Paul Lee was born in Seoul, but his family moved to New York when he was ten and spent his teenage years there. He became a Christian back in Seoul in his mid-twenties and did his M.Div. at Chongshin Theological Seminary. He served as an English Ministry pastor for four years in Seoul before getting his M.Th. in biblical studies from Edinburgh, Scotland. He is currently working on his Ph.D. on Jonathan Edwards’ trinitarian soteriology. Paul is married to Sang-Hee, and they have one daughter, Irene. As a family, they like to travel to cities related to biblical or church history. In the summer, they enjoy fishing and barbecuing in nearby parks. During the cold winter months, Paul hibernates, Sang-Hee watches K-drama, and Irene cannot stop talking. In ministry, Paul is curious and enjoys studying the Bible and sharing what he learns with others. Paul prefers Americano, loves watching documentaries, and enjoys listening to clean stand-up comics.

Aaron Garcia accepted Jesus as his saviour at the young age of 5 years old and has identified as a Christian ever since. In 2010, while still in high school, he received a call from God to work in youth ministry. Upon graduating from high school, he decided to obediently follow God’s calling for his life. He graduated from Tyndale University, College, and Seminary with a Bachelor of Religious Education in 2017 and from there he decided to complete his Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry at Tyndale Seminary in 2020. Aaron has been serving in youth ministry since 2013 and has been serving in Chinese churches since 2015. Before taking on the youth pastor role, Aaron had served at MGC as the youth director.
